Seven brothers live in constant strife and make life unhappy for their family. When their father dies, he leaves an unusual will: by sundown they must make gold out of 7 spools-of thread or be turned into beggars! The Nguzo Saba (or "seven principles") is what Kwanzaa celebrates; this play shows us how family members can pull together for themselves but also for others and they are stronger when everyone works together as a community.
